Painting Process
Our process is a bit different than other painting companies. That is why we are the most efficient and produce the highest quality workmanship. When painting your home we provide customer service 24/7, a foreman that leads your project, a project manager who will check on the progress. All of the products that we use are low VOC; meaning there is virtually no smell. As this is one of our most popular services, we are typically scheduling 5-6 weeks in advance so don’t delay, get on our schedule today!

STEP 1 – PREPARATION
You’re more than welcome to move any and all items to the middle of the room. Certainly, if you are not able to, Del Mar Construction does not mind assisting, however we do ask that you handle all sentimental/irreplaceable and small items as accidents do happen. All wall hangings need to be removed prior to our arrival. Please remember that when our crew has to move items it delays the start of the painting. We will make sure to protect your home using drop clothes, and plastics to safeguard floors, appliances, countertops, and surrounding furniture, etc.

STEP 2 – PREPPING YOUR WALLS
Preparing your walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces is the MOST important step of the painting process. Painting over grime and dirt will not do you any favors when it comes to the longevity of your project. Before painting, your home may need a few other things, such as sanding rough surfaces, drywall imperfections, caulking separations in trim, and/or patching holes. Del Mar Construction will take care of these things so your walls are completely ready to paint.

STEP 3 – PAINTING YOUR HOME
When we begin to paint your walls we will decide whether they need primer. Primer is needed as an undercoat when you are painting over a vibrant and/or dark color especially if your walls need extensive repairs. Using the color of your choice from a top- of-the-line paint company, we will start by cutting in all corners. We will then roll out the walls. Number of coats needed varies, however, Del Mar Construction guarantees total coverage.

STEP 4 – FINAL DAY
Before your job is completed we will ask that you complete a walk-through with the team leader and/or project manager. Please point out any imperfections that stand out to you. We are there to complete your project, happiness is key! We provide a one (1) year warranty against paint failure. Del Mar Construction will repair any portion of the project described in your estimate that fails due to workmanship.
